Shamika Varnado
Shamika Ja’Vonne Varnado born May 20, 1992 is an African American actress, model, writer, and poetry speaking. She grew up as the only child in the home with her mother and stepfather and in my teens age with a single mom. Her mom Tomika Varnado worked hard and provided a comfortable home for her daughter and did well hiding her emotions. Shamika met her biological father for the first time when she turned 16.

Her mom Tomika Varnado worked hard and provided a comfortable home for her daughter and did well hiding her emotions. Shamika met her biological father for the first time when she turned 16.
She never express to her mom how important that moment was meeting her father but it was the best feeling and until this day she’s such a daddy’s girl. Shamika graduated in 2010 from Hammond High School. She cheered on Varsity squad for two years. She ran tracked and also played softball throughout her years in high school. She was honored to be crowned Homecoming Queen in Junior High. She was a honor roll student and won other awards. In between then after becoming an adult she moved to Idaho in a marriage and started her family.
She had her first born son LaDarius McCoy Jr in 2011. Unfortunately her marriage came to an end. She experienced depression, low self esteem and lack of understanding of who she was. She manage to overcome her emotions and move back home to Louisiana. In between after then she challenged herself to attend both online college for her bachelors in Psychology and a local campus Petra College in Hammond, La where she came a certified Medical Assistant. Then once again she allowed her heart to take her over once again.
She again went through a mental break down. She was beating herself up for allowing love to tear her up in pieces. She was lost and didn’t who she were and if she were coming or going. This was caused by going through verbal and physical abuse in the first 5 years of her adulthood life. She found one joy in giving it a try and that was her first born daughter MaLaysia Varnado in 2015. Two years later she had the opportunity to work in the mental field for 5 years doing mental health therapy. She mentor many of them who battled with depression, anger, anxiety, bipolar and many other mental disorder. She has a unique place in her heart for others who battle with mental disorders. She ended her journey with mental health straight into working with Autism.
She never encountered with anyone with autism before but she didn’t doubt herself of delivering the job. After a year working at a Autism center a special place in her heart is there for autism awareness. She loves those kids so much and each progress they made showed her just how much more she is capable of accomplishing her own goals. Shamika is a single mom who live to be the best role model to her kids’ future leading them to chase dreams. She decided to give acting a try in 2018. She was informed on how to book background work on a casting site. She thought any opportunity to work on set with celebrities and big tv shows is good because she knew she will hustle her way onto something.
In September 2018 the season was hot castings in New Orleans was booming. She begin receiving callbacks and was featured in NCIS:New Orleans season 5 episode 5 and 8, Claws, Shadows and Tell Me Your Secrets. She became instantly interested in acting after a couple bookings. She thought making money to get cute and dressed up in the nice wardrobe by fashion specialist was dope and easy. After something research she decided to attend Launch Model and Talent in her interest of acting, whom she was taught by Actor Billy Slaughter and Actress Nicole Barre’. She was accepted to attend Industry Network in Los Angeles. Shamika received multiple top awards and call backs from top agents and managers around the world. Shamika signed with Unbridled Entertainments LLC. Since then she has appeared in Taboo:2 The Unspeakable Act for lead role, a commercial, another lead role and has already booked upcoming roles for 2020. Shamika listens to motivational speakings and does creative writing for films, TV shows and finished her first book in 2018 soon to be published.

Shamika can portray various roles ranging from 16-45 of age. She’s best and experienced in drama, comedy, action and family roles. Shamika enjoys GOD, outdoors, traveling, motivating others,and spending as much time with her kids they bring her so much happiness and joy. Some of her skills are dancing, sports, writing (books/films/poetry/music), dialects and leadership. Her goal in life is to be a inspiration to many other lives across to world and bring resourceful to her home community to make it a better society. She wants her spoken words to be use to motivate others out of any battles.
