The Spiritual Growth Segment

Reverend Vincent M.

Perry

Reverend Vincent M. Perry is a native of Saluda, South Carolina, and was born on
June 1st, 1970. Reverend Perry graduated from Saluda High School and then
furthered his education by attending Spartanburg Methodist College, and later
transferring to Lander University. He has also taken numerous classes at the NJ
Brockman School of Theology, attended many local workshops, Baptist
Conventions, and theological seminars.

Reverend Perry is the youngest of three children born to Deacon Albert and Mamie
L. Perry, and is married to the former Anglia Lindsay (high school sweetheart.) To
this union was born three children: Brandon Rashad, Thaddeus Quinton, and
Kyndall Nicole. He is also the the grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren.
Reverend Perry comes from Bethlehem Baptist Church in Simpsonville, SC under
the tutelage of Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin. He accepted his call into the preaching
ministry on July 26th, 2003, and after intense preparation, he preached his initial
sermon on July 11th, 2004 entitled “Turning Your Test Into A Testimony.” He was
officially licensed as a Baptist minister and also equipped to win souls for the
Kingdom of God
.
On June 4th, 2016, Reverend Vincent M. Perry was elected to pastor Lower Shady
Grove Baptist Church in Woodruff, SC. Since his inception as Pastor, four
ministries have been birthed into the LSGBC family: Greeters’ Ministry,
Intercessory Prayer Ministry, Praise & Worship Ministry, and the Voices of Victory
Choir. He has also worked hard to bring the church body closer together, strived to
grow our Bible Study Ministry, and has taught us the purpose of Bible study.

Reverend Perry is an example of how God can always turn nothing into something,
for it was the blood that changed his life and gave him purpose in his life. One of his
favorite scriptures comes from Romans 8:37-39 where it says “nothing can separate
you from the love of God!” No matter how high, how low, how good, or how bad,
God’s love can always find us. If it had not been for the Lord who was on our side,
where would we be? To God be all the glory!

Making making in the Marketplace with creative Music

To make money you have to spend money!

Artist intends of forgetting the most important part of investing in their craft as an artist. You have to remember if you don't invest in yourself then no one will. What makes you think the next person will invest in your craft who has a studio?

Picture this Pre-production
Production
Recording your vocal and not taking one take
Mixing the track to sit properly not too loud because that will be done by the Mastering of the track

After Mastering packaging
Then Sending of too
your publishers if you have one that will sort out all your forms like Samro, Sampra, Risa that helps you with the protection of your music and performances.

Cover art for marketing
A video for youtube, television
Plus promoting track in a newspaper

Now everything I've mentioned cost money and does not come cheap. It's not one person that works on your projects its more than one person and all of them need to eat. Stop running for the cheap option than complaining the guy did not do a proper job.

Stop doing quick projects that will never play on the radio. Study your market. Get a group of friends, colleagues to crit your work before uploading on social platforms. Remember 1st impression last longer.

Lifestyle of a Gentleman

10 simple rules to becoming a gentleman..
1 - A Gentleman ALWAYS opens the door first.
( if she’s ahead of you , you best pick up the pace.. )
2 - A Gentleman is NEVER afraid of hard work.
( a true gentleman knows he has to earn it if it’s worth it. This goes for most anything he allows in his life. Including his queen )
3 - A Gentleman ALWAYS says Please.
( he understands either it be asking for a item, favor or advice it’s always best to be polite and grateful)
4 - A Gentleman ALWAYS says Thank You.
( he knows that sometimes you also have to make it personal. When you can hand write notes of appreciation to those that make you feel special do it. This in turn in this high tech world shows them you took the time to spell out how grateful you are for them )
5 - A Gentleman ALWAYS shakes hands.
( a Gentleman always allows a lady to extend her hand first and ALWAYS stands for a FIRM Hand Shake )
6 - A Gentleman NEVER gives up
( he knows that when he wants something he has to put in the effort to succeed )
7 - A Gentleman shows up looking good.
( he knows the difference between just showing up and showing UP )
8 - A Gentleman puts YOU First.
( over his friends, his money and his work. He does not put you before his maker )
9 - A Gentleman takes the time to romance.
( were not out here trying to find a girlfriend the goal is finding a wife )
10 - A Gentleman puts the seat down.
( one of the golden rules of becoming gentleman is he knows not everyone’s born with webbed feet and carry’s that same respect through his day for those that may come after him. )

How Important is your brand

You are your brand. Social Media should be used to leverage your business! Be careful with this statement though.

There's a strategy behind what you need to post on your page.
3 Common Mistakes Network Marketers are Making on Social Media

1. Talking TOO MUCH about their product or opportunity

2. Spamming other people's pages, groups and walls

3. Misusing Private Messaging without building a relationship first
These practices are NOT working and hurting our profession

Learning how to brand yourself properly

Have you thought about your personal branding strategy? If not, you should.

Regardless if you have taken time to plan your personal brand or not, you have a personal brand.

Your personal brand is defined not only by what you want it to be, but also by perceptions. Your personal brand is impacted by what people think of you.

It's what people say about you behind closed doors. It's what they say about you when you leave the room, what they think about you after they watch your insta stories or Facebook Live video.

The truth is everything you say, do, post, like, comment on and share is a representation of your brand. Your actions speak far more louder than words.

Building the best brand of YOU, requires understanding and defining your goals. What do you want to achieve as you become more known in your industry?

How do you want people to perceive you? What are the goals that will drive your actions? Have you ever thought about these things?

Music Publishing

What’s the difference between ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and SoundExchange?

ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers), BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) and SESAC are US public performance organizations (PROs) who collect publishing royalties (performance royalties) for the PUBLIC PERFORMANCE of musical works as stipulated by the U.S. Copyright Act. This includes fees paid by radio stations, businesses, restaurants, concert venues, bars, nightclubs, sports arenas, bowling alleys, malls and shopping centers, amusement parks, colleges & universities, etc. for performing music in the public (within the confines of their establishment). These monies are paid to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC for a blanket public performance license that grants the licensee (the business) permission to allow music to be performed in their environment (this includes music over speakers and music performed live by an artist). The license fees paid to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC are passed on to the copyright owners in the musical works (song) — PUBLISHERS (50%) and SONGWRITERS (50%) — as performance royalties for musical works.

SoundExchange is a US public performance organization (PRO) who collects royalties for DIGITAL PUBLIC PERFORMANCE of sound recordings stipulated by the Digital Performance Right in Sound Recording Act of 1995 and Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998.

SoundExchange only collects these digital performance royalties for NON-interactive streaming (the kind where a DJ, algorithm, or other outside force is determining exactly what you hear).

This includes fees paid by music service providers (MSPs) to stream music over satellite (SiriusXM), internet (Pandora, Rhapsody), cable (Music Choice, Verve) and other digital means as stipulated by law.

Spotify, iTunes Radio, and Rdio have struck deals with labels and distributors to pay digital performance royalties directly to rights holders — thus bypassing SoundExchange. But again, digital performance royalties are only owed for non-interactive streams which occur within those services’ radio-like features, NOT in their on-demand capacities.

5 Tips For Getting Ahead On YouTube
One of the best things about YouTube is the diversity of content it offers viewers. As a creator, you’re making a career out of uploading videos that appeal to a niche audience. However, the downside to having so many different creators on the platform is that not everyone’s channel can grow at the same rate. Rather than comparing yourself to other creators, focus on what you need to do to keep your own channel growing.

Here are five tips to help you stay at the top of your YouTube game.

1. Learn the basics of SEO.
Search Engine Optimization helps more potential viewers find your content. Basically, by choosing a few specific keywords to describe your content, you can strategically title your videos to rank higher in both the YouTube and Google search results.

2. Stick to a strict upload schedule.
One thing YouTube’s ranking algorithm likes is consistency. When you upload on a strict schedule, you help all of your videos reach more viewers as recommendations. Better yet, an upload schedule will also help keep your view count consistent from video to video.

Before deciding which days work best for you to upload, create a production schedule to plan and film the video itself.

3. Create a social media marketing plan.
Social media enables you to promote your videos to all kinds of potential viewers. Have a specific plan of action for every platform, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Think about how to best connect with your audience on every social media outlet you use.

4. Work on improving your watch time.
Watch time is another key component of the YouTube algorithm. How long your viewers keep watching a video is just as important as how many people press play. Experiment with different video lengths to see how long your audience is willing to stick around.

5. Know your demographic.
Your demographic summarizes the average age, gender, and location of your viewers. Knowing these details will enable you to create videos that appeal to your specific audience more. You can find information about your demographic in your video analytics.

Have you tried any of these? How have they worked for you?

Utilizing
public relations as a strength, with the huge network they had and the relations with people from different walks of life, including celebrities and others, they have made the business an exemplary success: Marketing and Investments always increase in the marketplace where there is growth and devolpement
The best way to get someone to listen to your music via email:

Make sure the name of the file you send is professional. Don't send a file labelled: FINAL_Mix42MoreHiHat_16bitMaster.Mp3. The format should be something along the lines of ‘WRITER - Track Name (publisher). Mp3’. The latter is far more inviting and says a lot about your organisational skills.

Keep it simple. Send one song.

Either attach an MP3 to the email or send a private Soundcloud link (enable downloads). The recipient doesn't want to have to download a file to their computer. They want to quickly preview the track to determine if they like it or not in the shortest amount of time possible.

The subject line has to be punchy and engaging. Perhaps mention a previous achievement as well as your intention, for example: ‘Beatport Top 10 producer offers new track’.

Keep track of who you send your music to and follow up after 3 weeks with a polite email asking whether they’ve heard it or can offer any feedback. If they don’t reply to your follow up then it’s likely that they weren't interested in your music. This can be quite frustrating but it’s the nature of the game and we have to suck it up and move on. If you get a negative response, don’t retaliate in anger. Take the criticism in a constructive way and use it to fuel your ambition.

Artist Ask Yourself These 5 Questions
1. What is my end goal?
2. What are my short-term goals?
3. What are the keys to my definition of success?
4. What's my marketing plan?
5. What are my financial needs and goals?
We hear artist say they have ITunes, Spotify etc... Your Music Is Just Setting Accumulating Internet Dust...
Do You Need A Team To Help Expand Your Brand?

Artist, songwriter, radio/event host, and now CEO of an Artist Development firm located in Charlotte NC. After almost a 2 1/2 year break from music due to 2 major surgeries. Louie D found himself utilizing his time off to learn more about the music business and even learned more about himself along the way. With new goals bring new interest. Now as CEO, you no longer think about yourself as an artist you begin to think about more ways to help expand your company, but as a true emcee you can only stay away but so long. Resurrection is the new single from (Self-titled album) displaying the transition of artistry and entrepreneurship. (Due to release 2016)

The Carolina’s have a new face on the hip hop scene. From opening shows with some of today’s influential hip hop artist such as Pitbull, The Clipse, Lil Boosie, Pastor Troy, Yo Gotti, and Future just to name a few. Although being able to experience these moments feel like a dream come true to most, it was only a stepping stone for more to come. Louie D began his music career as a battle Emcee carrying on another moniker as “D. Eagle”. He began entering rap battles traveling state to state, winning cash prizes, bragging rights and more. That moment really set the bar high for his music career but good things always end. Music started to change and the game started to changed with the advancements of technology as well.

Louie D released his first radio single “Im So Paid” in 2010, which gained a buzz and the questions began. “Who is this Louie D”? Oct 2011, the mixtape “Thought Process” was released. Being his first project, it was overwhelming with the credibility it gained throughout the urban communities, selling over 2,000 physical copies the first week, it was a much needed time for more merchandising. Fast forward time, new location but a more sufficient platform, Louie D is the true definition of Independence. Also CEO of a growing company that specialize in providing avenues for other artist as well. Currently hosting his own radio show, producing commercials, releasing his first book soon, and new album on the way. #Classified
