She was born to the most perfect, imperfect family, if that makes sense. Her path to Neuroscience, text book/curriculum writing, software and app development, graphic design, multiple restaurants, and an up and coming Real Estate Brokerage company started in special education classes.

Learning was very difficult for her. She was the little girl that had to leave out of class to go to remedial learning because She couldn’t keep up with my class. Hence, She graduated high school with an 8 the grade education. She could read, but my comprehension level was very low. The score she received on my SAT was for getting her name right, (They actually told her this) which meant she had to forfeit scholarships in track because she didn’t qualify.

The accumulation of being a struggling learner and growing up poor did a number on her self-esteem. Of course she flunked out of college my first year. She just wasn’t ready. How did all of this change? When She was 22 years old, She became pregnant with my first child. She remember the fear that gripped me because she knew she wasn’t prepared to take on that responsibility. She felt like She wasn’t smart, and She had very little education. How could she take care of her? Once She stopped feeling sorry for myself.

She remembered She was 4 months pregnant and She placed her hand on her belly, and She made a promise to my daughter with tears in my eyes, and She promised her “She may not be able to give all the things She never had but you will know all the things she didn’t know.”!

From that point on, she began to read every book she could put my hands on. When my daughter was
born, she began to teach her early. She knew her alphabet before she was one and read and wrote at
a 1 st grade level by the time she was 3 years old. However, She knew if she was to teach her, She would have to teach myself first. That’s when she began my journey to relentless learning. She went on to having 3 more children which she home schooled for several years before they entered traditional brick and mortar schools. She returned to college at the age of 36 and challenged myself to take on the hardest program she could find which was Neuroscience .She excelled in my studies and participated in many research projects in my field

As her my confidence began to flourish, my world once again fell apart. Her marriage of almost 18
years ended in divorce, my 4 children and She was forced out of our home into a two bedroom
apartment while their father kept the house. After several months in the single world, She met my
old high school sweetheart and we have since married and never left each other’s side.

He exposed me to the business world in a way that changed everything. She immediately earned her
Real Estate license and sold 3 million dollars worth of homes her first year. Then an amazing
opportunity presented itself to me. Her husband came home one day from working with his best
friend that owned a large maintenance company in Atlanta. He had many documented and
undocumented employees working for him. His friend really wanted to help his employees as much as he could but didn’t know how. Her husband asked her to look into it. She was hesitant
initially, but what she found was like discovering new land.

The creation of Smart Pathways Immigration School and Services began. She soon learned the State
of Georgia offers a professional license to become an Immigration Consultant, as do most States,
which allows individuals help immigrants prepare government immigration forms. However, the
State does not provide or require any training, because it does not exist. So you’re basically on
your own with NO support. At this point, She asked herself, “In a perfect world what would you do
to solve this problem?”

She answered, “She would create a curriculum that taught individuals how to
become a licensed Immigration Consultant and how to prepare immigration forms.”, and then She
asked herself, “How do you plan on doing this?” she again answered, “One paragraph at a time.”
So, She spent 3 years writing textbooks including teacher manuals, test banks, and student manuals.
She also did her own book cover and book layout design on graphic design software.

She also developed software that can assist Consultants in application preparation and developed the
websites from scratch. Furthermore, the response to the course offering was overwhelming, so
much so, that She had to pull back and regroup. The official roll out will com out this year.

Her goal with Smart Pathways is to create the first intermediary service for the immigration industry.
Currently, the only help for immigrants is expensive attorneys and government offices. The Real
Estate Industry have agents to stand as intermediaries between real estate attorneys and the State,
but why not this multi-billion dollar immigration industry? We are the first!

In the meanwhile, She had a amazing opportunity to open two restaurants which is scheduled to
open this year. Play Bistro & Desserts which is a Sexy Dessert Bar. A restaurant/lounge.
Our menu items are farm-to-table fresh, always fresh, never frozen. The restaurant offer hookahs, giant adult games, with cozy lounge-feel patio great for hanging with friends and lots of fun, social
game nights such as trap bingo, couples trivia, bestie’s challenge night, spoken word, and much
more!

The second restaurant is called Skilletz which is a breakfast restaurant situated in
downtown Powder Springs, Ga. That area is undergoing a massive renovation which includes a
brand new amphitheater, a water park, Brewery, 10 acre soccer complex and much more. So, she
am excited to be a part of that transformation.

She is in the process of taking my Real Estate Brokers license to open my firm this year, 2020.
She has learned over the years that she can literally do anything she wants. After her divorce 5 years
ago, She had to fight to support my 4 children with very little skills. Now she is more than proficient
at text book writing, software and app development, opening restaurants, and real estate industry
experience. From a failed SAT score and learning disabilities to a bonafide business owner. She thanks God and herself for never giving up!
